MaxToon was launched on StarHub TV Channel 322 on 18 May 2016. It is a brand new Mandarin edutainment kids channel in Singapore, targeting at kids aged between three and twelve years old.
Besides offering curated kids’ content from China, MaxToon also broadcasts specially developed Singapore-made productions to provide a unique learning environment for kids to develop their appreciation of and competency in Mandarin.
In addition to TV programs, MaxToon also aims to engage kids in a fun-learning experience through on-ground events and online platforms.
推广华文学习委员会 Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning
Following a comprehensive review of the teaching of Chinese Language (CL) in Singapore, the 2004 Chinese Language Curriculum and Pedagogy Review Committee (CLCPRC) recommended the establishment of the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL).
CPCLL aims to garner the support of the community to support the learning of CL and to facilitate a continuing process of collaboration between schools, community organisations and the media to create an environment for promoting the use of CL beyond schools. The Committee, formed in January 2005, is currently led by Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Education & Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Since its formation, CPCLL has actively organised engaging and interactive activities to enthuse students and develop in them an abiding interest in Chinese language and culture. Signature programmes include:

The Speak Mandarin Campaign encourages all Singaporean Chinese to embrace the use of Mandarin and enjoy an appreciation for the Chinese language and culture. It is a year-round Campaign, focused on creating awareness through publicity and engaging the community.

Pilot Pen Singapore was the official writing instrument sponsor of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (Singapore 2010) and the SEA Games 2015.
